                Hi Nirmalya,

 

Very nice to welcome you to this little group!

 

Just yesterday in the weekly uprotocol dev call, we spoke about collecting a list of backlog issues that interested participants might dig into – it will likely take a few days yet for us to get that list together, though.

 

But let me give you a few initial pointers:

  • We’d love to welcome you in our weekly (every Thursday 2pm CET) uProtocol developers call – see the Eclipse SDV Community Calendar for details (https://sdv.eclipse.org/get-engaged/)
  • The primary communication channels for the project is the github issue trackers, as well as the #uprotocol Eclipse SDV Slack channel – join us there, there’s more life on slack than in this mailing list right now (I’ve sent you an invitation link)
  • To get started looking at things, up-spec and up-rust would be good bet
  • Also, there is an Eclipse SDV blueprint which builds on uProtocol, so to see it in action, have a look here: https://github.com/eclipse-sdv-blueprints/service-to-signal

 

We’re also recognizing at the moment that we need to be more outgoing on the uprotocol website (uprotocol.org) – I’ll go and directly add the blueprint to the docs section there…

 

I’m sure the others here can also chime in with ideas – hope to see you at one of our Thursday calls soon!

Hello there!

 

Just want to say 'Hello' to everyone here in this mailing list.

 

I have been reading about and listening to Y/t videos on the topic of uProtocol, the motivation, the architecture and direction of implementation. These have interested me.

 

I am a complete beginner in the world of SDV (and automotive software in general), but I am keen to learn and contribute. I consider myself as an intermediate level Rust Developer.

 

If anybody has any suggestions as to where to start (first with the protocol spec and the current status), that will be very helpful.
