Re: [udig-users] using 'coverage' raster files in uDig [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

I just gave a look at the plugins and it looks that the netcdf support has been pulled out. 
Since I am also quite interested in having that in, let's ask Mauricio if the plugins are working and available.

If we are getting out a new release soon, it would be really good to have them back in.

I’m seeing that uDig integrates GDAL in the latest version but cannot see how to make use of that functionality.


most data on that site seem to be geotiffs, which should be loaded seamlessly in uDig.
Others are esri grid (might be adf files?) in which case there might be support for it in the geotools catalog datastores (Jody, please jump in here).
Gdal is used in the background when needed. It works only on win32 bit, linux32 and 64 bit though. Are you on one of these systems?
