Yep - I always have this problem; if I make the code examples useful (like the distance tool) they get rolled into the application - and stop being code examples. If I may them not useful then they are viewed as a toy and people want to know how to do something real :-)
Silvia how can we get your update site fixed? And perhaps I can make the CSV tutorial example available via an update site...

Unfortunately at present the uDig update site for JGrass and BeeGIS does not work, so if you want to use it you should just download the complete version.
