Re: [udig-users] resolution lost on DRG

Right now I am afraid that filter is a poor name for selection not to chose what to show in the map. It could be used to filter out feature If you are exporting to image but unfortunately not raster data because it is not hooked up to raster data.

I forgot to mention that if I choose a scale to small only part of the
DRG map is printed. I guess that is limited by the height and width
that I specified. I used the same width and length as the original DRG
file.

I am able to increase the resolution by decreasing the scale. It also decreases the size of my font so that is not visible in some cases. I
am wondering if there is some formula that I could apply given the
raster size and scale to choose the right scale.

Resolution: 250, 250 pixels/inch

Is there a way to use one layers extents to "filter out" another layers
data that is outside that extent?
I am getting points plotted outside the extent of the DRG topo map.

I see a field for a filter but I have found no documentation on it.

Hi Don,

I have a DRG topo map. I added it as a raster layer. I then added a postgis layer which plotted points and added labels. I then exported the resulting map to another tiff file. When I view it and zoom in I seem to have lost the resolution that the original tiff file had. How
do I fix this?

If you exported the map with the export enigine I think by default the
map is exported at screenshot resolution.
I think, but am not sure right now, that Jesse added also the
possibility to set the scale. If that is the case, by changing the
scale you should be able to gain higher resolution.

Here is information on the original tiff file:
