Hi Gary,

I am afraid we don't support them in the official uDig 1.1 stream.  Here are some method:

1.  Use GDAL to convert them into Geotiff for uDig

2.  Use a WMS Server to serve ECW

3.  Get someone to build a version of uDig from trunk.

I use Digital Orthophoto Quarter Quads (DOQQs) for my maps. They are ECW files. I use them because they are current and the best available in for New Mexico. They were flown in 2005.

How do I get then into uDig?
