Re: [udig-users] uDig embedded in SpatialDataIntegrator to display data after processing

Thanks Francois, we can also post uses of uDig onto our news feed if that is of interest to you. I am glad you are enjoying your use of the project. I recently completed a series of GITA workshops in Australia and was able to direct a few interested parties in the direction of SpatialDataIntergrator (and of course Jesse).

Cheers,
Jody
Dear all,

To keep uDig users up to date on softwares linked to uDig, we've been
integrating uDig in SDI to allow user to display their data after
processing (Thanks a lot to Jesse for his help!).

The new release 1.3.0 of SpatialDataIntegrator project is available. SDI
is an opensource Spatial ETL (Extract Transform & Load) based on Talend
Open Studio for read/write common GIS formats, manipulating features,
metadata creation and publication.

New features:
 * GIS Formats: Shapefile, Mif/Mid, Postgis, WFS, GPX, WKT
 * 48 Geospatial Components: sSimplify, sSimpleGeomToMulti,
sChangeLineDirection, sTransform, ...
 * Added uDig views to view data
 * Added wizard for Metadata/Create generic schema from ESRI Shapefile,
MIF/MID file
 * Update to TOS 2.4.1
 * Update to GeoTools 2.5

Comming works on adding Sextante library [1] for RASTER processing
(Thanks to Victor), OpenStreetMap [2], ...

More info : http://spatialdataintegrator.org

Cheers.

Francois
