[udig-users] UTF8 and uDig - eastern European character set

I have needs to use certain characters like čćžđš and I set up uDig
preferences (Default Character Set) on UTF 8.

Made import of shp file with .dbf containing šđčćž characters. Everything
went fine. Characters are shown correctly.

But problem starts when I change in attributes. Like change "c" into "č" and
commit changes. Than I receive error in Table tab: An unexpected error
occurred while loading features into table: 0

Same problem is with saving newly created layer and opening exported layer
with same characters.

My question is, does uDig support UTF 8 properly or how to set up uDig to
properly use characters I need?
