Re: [udig-users] Style Editor

Right now our style generation steps are based on color brewer (for a demo go here http://www.personal.psu.edu/cab38/ColorBrewer/ColorBrewer.html). This is a good set of palettes that has been tested in a lab under a range of conditions (color blind person and a LCD projector for example). They put a fixed limit of 12 classes because that is what the eye can put up with :-)

So to answer your question:
- After you have generated a theme, you can add and remove rows using the buttons provided - you can also rename the categories (very helpful if you have a legend on your map)
- and set the additional values (or ranges) yourself

In the case of 'unqiue values' it would be nicer to show them all and just repeat the colors, we best make a bug report :-(

Cheers,
Jody
Hi All,

In the UDig Style Editor, how can I get more than 12 classes when mapping using the 'Unique Values' break?
thanks,
Steve
