[udig-devel] cannot interact with Oracle DBs

Hi all,
I have a question about the interaction of uDig with an Oracle Spatial DB.
I have access to two machines in which we Oracle Spatial 10g and 11g
R2 are correctly installed (other people interact with them via other
tools).
I setup everything according to the uDig guide (I put the ojdbc.jar in
the lib folder, and so on), but I still cannot access any layer stored
on the DBs.
My first doubt is about whether uDig supports Oracle. More specifically:
1) can I load a layer stored on an Oracle DB?
2) can I modify and then commit it on an Oracle DB?
3) can I delete a layer stored in an Oracle DB?
I checked the same features on PostGis and everything worked fine.
Do you have any suggestion on why I cannot access layers stored on Oracle?
