Thanks Harry; we agree that unzipping those jars allows us to run.

One other difference with Eclipse 3.4 is that we now have to include the
"Activator" in the list exported packages. That is a change for me -
previously we did not have to do this. It makes sense I guess.

We are going to proceed and try and export the Custom App RCP example
from the modifed SDK - perhaps we can learn where the problem is. Any
clues from your previous experience are of course welcome.

Note that we are keen on getting the custom app tutorial working so we
can run a training course against 1.2 rather than the stable branch ...
and producing a custom app is an important step.

Sorry but I don't remember at this point.  But I do remember it being
very, very frustrating.  Good Luck to you.

Yea that sounds like a good thing.  Are we hoping to get that done
before the code sprint?

Not to worry we will figure it out.

Harry do you have any advise for making and SDK (so I can try things out
with out pestering you). My usual technique is documented on the wiki
here:
http://udig.refractions.net/confluence/display/ADMIN/SDK+Export+Procedure

I was going to fix some of the feature.xml files so they show up as
folders next time we export; but wanted to make sure I tested in a good
manner.

Yes ... indeed most of it done before Friday.

So we got some changes for the SDK construction:
- have net.refractions.udig.libs as a folder
- same goes for any plugin that contains a jar such as itext ...
hopefully John will have full list shortly
- have all the features/ as a individual folders

We have a couple changes for the material:
- add the package with the Activator to the list of exported packages
- org.eclipse.rcp.nls1 does not seem to be around anymore

Here is the full list of jars that need extracting.

com.lowagie.itext_1.2.0
org.apache.ant_1.7.0.v200803061910.jar
org.eclipse.ui.intro.universal_3.2.200.v20080508
net.refractions.udig.libs.db2_1.2.0
net.refractions.udig.libs.postgis_1.2.0
net.refractions.udig.libs.oracle_1.2.0
net.refractions.udig.catalog.arcsde_1.2.0

but we did successfully built and run once they were.

So if the IDS is configured correctly you should be able to enter the
URL into the WFS wizard page and connect.  Let me know how it goes.

I agree. I think we need concentrate in uDig, to achieve a solid platform for
our extensions (jgrass, axios udig ext, etc).

Hey all,

An email circulated recently, I think from Emily, relating a problem
setting up an import from a database. In 1.2, using the buttons on the
import wizard often doesn't work, one has to double-click on the icons
to move through the wizard.
