Re: [udig-devel] Groovy scripting in uDig

Jesse is the available as a community module? I really want to get uDig 1.1.0 out - and for that I need a mac osx installer :-)

As I see it the uDig 1.1.x train looks like:
- osx installer
- community site
- testing against walkthrough 1 and walkthrough 2
- release
- additional community modules as needed

So +0, I would like to save this one for the community site if we can.

On the related note of "really cool stuff I wish I could do"; we found out that the Reshape operator needs to have a couple post processing options; like union. We did a buffer( the_geom, 400 ) and ended up with a bunch of overlapping circles. Apparently the axios tools have the untion option so the needed code is around.

+1!. :).

I can strip out the parts that will be broken. The basic viewer and Operation should still work I would guess.

Hi All,

I was wondering whether Jesse's community contribution on Groovy
scripting is usable still given all the changes in uDig since Jesse's
last commit on this back on July 7 of 2006. My guess is no, but I think
it is time to start a lobbying effort on this front. Allowing Groovy
based plug-ins may do a lot to expand the number of user contributed
plug-ins to uDig.
