[udig-devel] Random comments on thursday's RC13 snapshot

hey all,

Don't bother to respond unless you need clarification; I realize some of
these issues you already know about. This is merely a 'quick-and-dirty
impressions on using the software' kind of note.

1) Absolute paths are being treated correctly in the catalog, good.

2) but relative paths are being displayed as absolute---not sure the
consequences for portability.

3) "Add to new map" doesn't consider the .prj files of the layers => the
map is always displayed using WGS84. 

4) Selection doesn't take into account the layers selected in the layers
view but only uses the 'last clicked on layer' or some similar semantic
in that view. I would expect the selection to happen against several
layers at once but perhaps our selection mechanism is limited.

5) AAARRRRG, the style beeps are back. I like the style view much better
than the dialog (not the functionality but the workflow is faster). I'm
getting lots of beeps moving back and forth between them.
