There is lots of motivation to release 1.1:
- eclipsecon demo
- uDig based projects starting up (such as yours)
- a training course is starting up on uDig
- uDig 1.1 is much better it almost every way it could be

Concerning our Roadmap for uDig 1.1: We are now pixel perfect (so we can 
update the online help), and ask for translations to be made. There has 
already been a feature freeze and so on. Depending on bug squishing we 
may need to remove some features if they are not improved before release.
