The web map support is amazing (see attached screen snapshot), 
especially in conjunction with catalog searching.
You will also see that scale bar is working, if you know any cool WMS 
that are not int the import wizard please let me know. At the very least 
we could test against them.

We have several ways of talking to a WMS:
- normal requests
- tiled requests (for WMS that have a limit on the size of returned image)
- requesting in non default CRS, based on your maps projection (right 
click on your map and choose properties)
- raster reprojection to a projection not supported by the original WMS
