Description:
When using the TilingWMSRenderer against the DM Solutions GMap WMS, strange artifacts sometimes appear, so as the blue line in the following request:

http://dev1.dmsolutions.ca/cgi-bin/mswms_gmap?LAYERS=DEMO,bathymetry,land_fn,park,drain_fn,drainage,prov_bound,fedlimit,rail,road,popplace,grid&FORMAT=image/gif&HEIGHT=177&REQUEST=GetMap&BBOX=-96.96899755055902,52.049357098459055,-96.91928079816807,52.09898188595485&WIDTH=180&STYLES=,,,,,,,,,,,&SRS=EPSG:4326&VERSION=1.1.1

A tile-overlapping system could be used to cover this. Something like this could also be used to remove labels that are stuck into each GetMap response image, such as in USGS's TerraService WMS.
