[udig-devel] BUG 72678 and splash screens

Those of you download udig 0.2.0 tomorrow may be dissappointed find that
our splash screen is not working.
It turns out that if you run the eclipse.exe (included with the RCP)
download our splash screen will come up - but nothing will draw since
the Java Advanced Imaging library is not included.
We have included a couple small scripts (udig.sh and udig.bat) to get
things started off on the right foot. But this bug
(https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=72678) prevents our
splash screen from showing up. These scripts assume that JAVA_HOME has
been set.
Richard/Jesse you may want to read through the above bug report (or save
the link until next release). The discussion ranges over the dreaded
config.ini file (ie what we wished worked) and the direction RCP is
pushing development.
