Instructions did not work until I switched the build to use tycho 0.13.

I'll cleanup now redundant versions from the .product file shortly.

This is what happens technically in the tycho-p2-runtime module: The target platform is the result of the target _file_ resolution plus everything which has been built locally (i.e. the patched p2 bundle). The dependency resolution then resolves the product file against the target platform, i.e. it can pick either the version from the target file or the locally built version. By specifying an explicit version in the product file, you can force the dependency resolution to take the locally built one.
