Hi Dave,

I am using the new automated release
review materials that was created by the Eclipse team. 

I was under the impression that we are
were supposed to move to this, but perhaps not, as some projects are still
using the "old" way of sending around pdf files and whatever
else they want.

The information I provided is exactly
the same as what other projects have provided. Some projects have more
than GEF in their automated review materials perhaps, some releasing projects
have plenty less if not nothing in their release reports.

Anyway, the GEF project cannot possibly
be dead as we did the busy-work (as you call it) to produce a release.

I certainly don't object to GEF releasing,
and maybe I need to adjust to this new streamlined process, but the release
review materials makes it look like a dead project. 
No bugzilla reports ... no mention of of mailing lists or other community
activity ... I am also surprised the difference between GEF, Draw2d and
Zest components are not described; just to name a few. 
So, don't mean to sound judgmental, I know we all want to minimize busy-work,
but I'll abstain until I see a few more reports and get a better understanding
of what's expected.
