was started by Frédéric Desbiens with this criteria: Since joining the Eclipse ThreadX project as a contributor in November 2023, Akif Ejax (10xEngineers) has made several significant contributions to improve ThreadX's support for the RISC-V architecture. Akif has submitted the following pull requests in the last four months: https://github.com/eclipse-threadx/threadx/pull/490 https://github.com/eclipse-threadx/threadx/pull/492 https://github.com/eclipse-threadx/threadx/pull/496 https://github.com/eclipse-threadx/threadx/pull/501 https://github.com/eclipse-threadx/threadx/pull/506 Most of those PRs are significant, non-trivial contributions to our project. All have been merged and shipped in our recent v6.5.0.202601 release. Moreover, in the process, Akif received feedback from senior committers about coding style and best practices. He modified his pull requests as requested, showing his willingness to work with others harmoniously and in line with the established practices of the project. Akif is also doing his part to promote ThreadX to the broader open source community. He agreed to submit a presentation proposal to RISC-V Summit Europe, with me as a co-presenter, with the aim of raising awareness of ThreadX in the RISC-V open source community. He was instrumental in building a quality proposal in a timely fashion. Finally, although Akif lives in a timezone that aligns poorly with Western European and North American business hours, he's been a regular presence at our weekly team call, participating in the discussions as needed. Akif already shared his plans for ThreadX with the team and me. He and his employer will be long-term supporters of our project. For all of those reasons, it is my pleasure to nominate Akif Ejaz as a committer on Eclipse ThreadX. Eclipse ThreadX project committers can click the election link below to vote.
