  • Thread-topic: [threadx-dev] Inquiry Regarding Eclipse ThreadX RTOS Support for Infineon TriCore Architecture

Hi Rajaram,

As far as I know, there is currently no ThreadX support for the Infineon TriCore architecture, and nothing is planned for the future. Companies that could create this support can be found on threadx.io.

Hopefully, this information is helpful!

Best regards,

Bill

Hello ThreadX Team,

I hope this mail finds you well.

We are currently evaluating the Eclipse ThreadX RTOS for use with the Infineon AURIX 2G based TC377TX Secure Gateway board, which features the TriCore architecture. After reviewing the Eclipse ThreadX RTOS official site, we were unable to find any existing ports or releases specifically supporting TriCore architecture.

However, we did come across a mention in the Supported Architectures section of the documentation where Infineon products such as XMC1000, XMC4000, and TriCore are listed as examples. Given this, we would like to clarify:

      1. Does Eclipse ThreadX RTOS currently have support for the TriCore architecture, specifically for the TC3xx-based boards?

     2. If not, are there any plans for future support or official ports from Infineon or Eclipse for this TriCore architecture?

      3. If not, could you provide any technical resources or reference files to assist us in developing a port for the Tricore architecture as per our project.

      4. Alternatively, if a port is available, could you kindly provide more details on how we can obtain and integrate it for our development?

Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated, as it will help us make informed decisions about the RTOS for our project.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
