Re: [technology-pmc] Eclipse IDE Planning Council representation

(Forwarding this to Technology PMC for further discussion/comments)

Hi Thomas,

I don't see a strong need for the Technology PMC to participate in the IDE planning because I believe most of the IDE planning should come out of the Eclipse or Tools top level project and the companies/members doing the work.

@Technology PMC, any ideas/opinions//volunteers?

Hi Gunnar,

We are currently reviewing the Eclipse IDE Planning Council composition to make sure it reflects current representation and active participation.

You are currently listed as the Technology PMC representative: https://eclipseide.org/working-group/planning-council/

As we haven’t seen you participate in Planning Council meetings recently, I just wanted to check whether you still intend to represent the Technology PMC on the Council, or whether it would make sense for the PMC to nominate another representative.

I’ve copied Heiko, our Planning Council Lead, for visibility.

Thanks,
Thomas
