Dear SW360 Developers,

We would like to announce that SW360 has been accepted as a mentoring Org in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2026! Please checkout our page at https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/programs/2026/organizations/sw360
As GSoC'26 is officially kicking off, and we are looking for volunteers from our community to step up as Mentors and Org Admins this year!

The program is a huge success with over 1,000 organizations and mentors already registered for 2026, and over 3,000 participants overall. To ensure a smooth process for SW360, we need to finalize our team soon. If you are interested in guiding a GSoC Contributor through a project this summer, please reach out to me directly.

Key Information & Timeline:

• Virtual Session for New Mentors/Admins: Learn essential tips and steps to prepare.
  • Date/Time: Thursday, February 26th, 16:00-17:00 UTC
  • Join Link: meet.google.com/vbu-djpv-jdi
• Important Dates:
  • Now - March 15: Potential contributors reach out to discuss project ideas. We need to add our Mentors ASAP!
  • March 16 - 31: Contributors submit their formal proposals.
  • April 30: Accepted GSoC Contributor projects are announced.
  • May 25: Coding begins.
