Subject: Re: [sumo-user] Introduction to SUMO
Hello,
I recommend spending an hour with the 2025 tutorial since it covers GTFS import (for public transport simulation) as well as electric vehicles.
regards,
Jakob
Dear SUMO-Community,
my name is Sven, im a masters-student at the Free University of Berlin.
I have recently begun working on my masters-thesis, on the topic of simulating charging behaviour for battery-electric busses in public transport scenarios.
However, i am experiencing some issues in getting familiar with the correct usage of SUMO.
Specifically, i am trying to simulate the public bus transport of Berlin, to then expand upon the simulated energy consumption.
Currently im following tutorials, experiementing and tinkering with the vast ammount of options SUMO provides.
As that is not the fastest way to learn however, im writing this mail to ask for help from the community.
Im am looking for someone experienced in the usage of SUMO, who would be willing to spend maybe an hour explaining the basics of SUMO to me, in an online call.
I speak english and german, and can offer calling via webex or other services.
I hope this usage of the mailing-list is not intrusive.
Please let me know if you would be interested.
Best regards
Sven
