[sumo-user] Error while using createVehTypeDistribution.py

Dear Sumo Community, I'm writing to report an issue I've encountered while using the createVehTypeDistribution.py tool, and to propose a potential fix within the code. I am running the tool with the following command (as you can see on the attached image) and I consistently receive the following error (also in the attached image).
Through some investigation, it appears this error might be related to the output file (bike.add.xml in my case) already existing. My hypothesis is that when the output file already exists, the tool fails to overwrite it. When I am removing the already existing file it works completely fine. So, the problem only occurs when the output file already exists. I look forward to your help on resolving this issue.
