Hi Hillary,
here are some questions and ideas:
a) which SUMO Version are you using?
b) Does this problem occur on the first or second rerouting?
c) Is the route valid?
d) Is the route valid for this vehicle type?
e) have you tried to create a route with traci like
traci.route.add(<newRouteId>, <edgelist>)
f) Is the vehicle on the first edge of the new route?

I am rerouting vehicles in TraCI and suddenly for some vehicles, I get the below error.I couldnot find out which was the problem.
