2) yes and no. You can configure the platoon leader to drive slower but no distinction is made between catchup-phase and normal platoon driving. Simpla instead recognizes a catchup phase where the follower may drive faster.

3) no active development is planned for Simpla. If you need additional features, consider using plexe which is well-integrated in SUMO and actively maintained.

I'm using SUMO for the simulation of the urban traffic jam scenario.

And I noticed the Simpla module, which can be used for platoon control.

About the Simpla, I want to confirm:

1.Lane-changing to join platoons is avaialbe or not? if yes, please give an example for that. 

2.Slowing down the front vehicle to allow-catchup is possible or not?

3.Is there any update to be implemented on the Simpla part in the near future?
