Re: [sumo-user] Save and load Simulation without starting a new one

Hi,

does traci.simulation.saveState() save traffic states as well, like the current phases and all other phases and their remain durations?

Yes.  You can use traci.load(['sumo', '-n' , 'your.net.xml', '--load-state', 'savedstate.xml', ...])
However, this is not much faster then calling traci.start (the net still needs to be reloaded).

In the latest development version you can also use traci.simulation.loadState('savedstate.xml') but this is still somewhat experimental.

Hi,

Let's say I am running a gui simulation and after running for 50 seconds, I save the state using traci.simulation.saveState(). Then I change some values and continue for 10 more seconds and now I want to reload the state that I have saved at 50 seconds and continue from there again. Is this possible? Is it possible to save a simulation state and load state without having to start a new simulation?
