Hello Jakob,
thank you!
I have another question regarding this od2trips function by using an daily time.
My first question is to know if we have a possibility to switch from simulation at define time to another one.
As example I have one file of daily traffic flow from a define origin to a define destination. If i good understand how it?s work, when we start the simulation in Sumo the time begin with 0, is this time the equivalence of 0 hours (in the real world)? If it?s
the case, how can I see the traffic at the time 19 hours in the simulation as example, without having to wait that the simulation time going from 0 until the correspondence time of 19 hours in second in sumo.
My second question is to know if we need to define the parameter *From-Time To-Time when one use the in the O/D matrices ?
Br
Christian

You can define person traffic with OD2TRIPS using the option --pedestrians (or --personstrips for intermodal traffic) and also apply apply time-varying levels of traffic demand.
see
http://sumo.sourceforge.net/userdoc/Demand/Importing_O/D_Matrices.html#Daily_Time_Lines

Jakob

Hello Sumo comunity
I have some question about some sumo feature. I want to check the feseability of some points in sumo.
1. I want to know if we have some possibility in sumo the give the number of person in network as flow or as a define number per hour ?
2. My second point is to know if we can do such event based simulation in the same sumo configuration. What I want to do here is to change the flow of pedestrian dynamically in the same simulation based on the simulation time, or maybe based or based on
CPU Time. So we can generated in a same simulation different traffic flow dependent of the real time ? If it?s directly possible do we have some workaround that ?
3. Do we have basically the possibility to give some empiric distribution as input in Sumo?
Thank you very much and br
Christian

within the <workHours> element, you can define different <closing> values with probabilities and then each home-from-work trip will sample from that distribution.
See
https://github.com/eclipse/sumo/blob/master/tests/activitygen/demand_generation/activitygen-example.stat.xml

Hello.
I'm using activitygen and I have a question.
The "departureVariation" attribute defined in the statistic.stats.xml influence only the departure time of "workHour - opening"? Because I saw that all the vehicles start at the same time when turning back to home at "workHour - closing".
Is there a way to set a departure Variation also of closing hour?
Thanks.

- By sudden stops, do you mean the simulation crashes and exits or does it
freeze and just not continue?
- what version of sumo are you using?
- if is an older version, please try version 1.1.0 and see if that fixes
the problem
- if not, please send me all input files for running the simulation and
reproducing the issue
