We may have existing documentation to "assists you specifically in this area" but you first need to provide some specifics on the desired metrics and analysis you wish to perform. Is there a particular reason why you want to retrieve data via TraCI? SUMO provides plentiful capabilities for exporting data to files and this is often the easier method.
