Hi Sprotty devs,

We're working towards a 2.0 release of Sprotty. The focus is twofold: modernizing the development ecosystem, and adding a new API layer around dependency injection and configuration to lower the barrier to entry for new users.

Ecosystem modernization:

• Move from CommonJS to ESM (#515)
• Move from Yarn to npm (#534)
• Update dependencies (most notably InversifyJS #)
• Deploy through GitHub Actions (#549)
• Make the repo AI-ready (#560)

API and code health:

• New API layer for dependency injection and configuration (proposal coming soon as a PR)
• Remove deprecated code
• Regular bug fixes and improvements 

Since 2.0 introduces breaking changes, version 1.x will move into maintenance mode once it ships.

If you have wishes for what should be in 2.0, now's the time to tell us.
