Hello everyone,

My name is Siddharth Baleja, and I am excited to introduce myself to the Eclipse GSoC community for the 2026 cycle. I have already completed my administrative setup by signing the Eclipse Contributor Agreement (ECA) and linking my GitHub ID (https://github.com/siddharthbaleja7)

I am currently focusing my efforts on Open VSX, specifically working with Thomas Froment and Miro Spönemann on the technical design for Cloud Metadata Migration (Issue #1464). I am enjoying the deep dive into the MigrationItem infrastructure and the challenges of balancing data integrity with system scalability.

As the program moves into the "Project Ideas" phase, I am eager to align my current work with the official roadmap and discuss how I can contribute further to the long-term sustainability of the registry.

I look forward to learning from this community and contributing to the Eclipse ecosystem over the coming months.
