I
would like to self-nominate for the Steering
Committee
as a Participant
Member.
As
the Director of Product for the Red Hat In-Vehicle
Operating System, I am deeply committed to advancing open
source solutions in the automotive sector. To support our
shared mission at Eclipse SDV, my team has contributed the
BlueChi
project, a deterministic multi-node service controller, to
help drive standardization in automotive environments. We
also work directly with S-CORE and other SDV projects. We
recently created an Eclipse SDV integration project to run
said SDV projects and blueprints, the Eclipse AutoSD
Integration Project.
Additionally,
I am actively working to bridge the gap between
open-source innovation and functional safety. We are
focusing heavily on making our safety-certified operating
system compatible with Eclipse SDV, with a specific
emphasis on aligning AutoSD and its orchestration
architecture with Eclipse S-CORE.
Red
Hat is highly dedicated to the success of this working
group as demonstrated by my colleague Jefro Osier Mixon's
ongoing work leading the Marketing Committee and by my
colleague Leonardo Rosetti's work as co chair of the
Automotive Process SIG. I would be honored to complement
those efforts by bringing my product leadership to the
Steering Committee, helping to prioritize strategic
technical alignment and ensuring our outputs translate
into production-ready, safety-critical automotive
solutions.
I
look forward to the opportunity to serve the SDV community
in this role and thank you for your consideration.
Best
regards,

Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) initiative is currently seeking nominations to fill elected positions on three governing bodies; the Steering Committee, Technical Advisory Committee and Marketing/Brand Committee. These committees play a crucial role in the strategy and direction of the Software Defined Vehicle Initiative:
Two seats at the Participant Member level
One seat at the Committer Member level
Nomination Eligibility
Participant Members:All individuals who are employed by an organisation that is a Participant member of the SDV may stand for election. The current Participant Members of the SDV can be viewed here.
Committer Members:Committer Members are those who are engaged in projects under the purview of SDV. Committers may be considered members by virtue of either a) being employed by an SDV corporate member, or b) an individual committer who has executed the Eclipse Foundation Membership Agreement in order to attain the rights, privileges and obligations of a Committer Member. If you are interested but unsure if you are a committer member, please reach out to us and/or learn more here.
A reminder that Strategic Members each have a representative appointed to these committees and thus Strategic member organisations do not participate in this election.

March 16: Announce Candidates Standing
March 18 - 27: Ballots Distributed (Voting Period)
March 30: Announce Election Results
Nomination Process Nominations can be made by any member of SDV (including self-nominations) by sending an email to this mailing list.

The election will follow the Eclipse Foundation's "Single Transferable Vote" method, as outlined in theEclipse Foundation Bylaws.
The winning candidates will be announced on this mailing list after the voting period closes.
