Hi Andy,
Thanks for reaching out. You are absolutely right—the three emails were indeed copy-pasted. I tried to explain this
in the Committer Election email, but perhaps I didn’t do it clearly enough, so let me clarify it here once more.
BMW has contributed a new module called Config Management. You can find the source code here:
https://github.com/eclipse-score/config_management/tree/main/score/config_management
This source code was initially developed at BMW by the individuals for whom I started the nomination. To my understanding—and
this aligns with what we agreed with Wayne—adding new modules is handled similarly to creating a new Eclipse project. We nominate initial committers who may not have previously worked on the S-CORE project but are very familiar with the Config Management source
code. Otherwise, who should review and merge PRs in the Config Management repository? The current committers in the project are not familiar with how Config Management works, so it would be odd for them to review and merge PRs.
Is this also your understanding?
As I’ve also mentioned, by using the CODEOWNERS concept, we ensure that committers for Config Management cannot accidentally
merge source code into other modules, such as the communication module.
Therefore, we nominate three new people to become committers in the S-CORE project to be able to review and merge code
in, and only in, the Config Management repository. I’ve used a template for their election, as there is indeed no difference between these three nominations.
I hope this makes things a little clearer for you.
Kind regards,
Anton

Dear S-CORE Developers, Committers and Project Leads,
greetings from the Automotive PMC!
I would like to take the committer nomination of Markus and Luiz to point to some requirements for nominations, the Automotive PMC would love to see.
Please write an individual election nomination (please: NO copy-paste!) to show that the nominee is fulfilling the three requirements:
- Define trust
- Maintain vendor/employer neutrality and
- Operate transparently
Prove that with direct links (URLs) to the Eclipse Foundation infrastructure:
- Contributions (e.g. Pull Requests, ...) over several weeks / months, 5 are desirable
- Reviews of contributions (PRs) over several weeks / months
- IP processes, updated legal docs (SBOM, copyright header)
- Improvements of documentation (Wiki, Website,...)
- Project issues opened or even better solved
- Active participation on the project dev mailing list or other Eclipse mailing lists
- Other activities in the project
Especially for the nomination of Luiz and Markus, I do not see any contribution related to the nominations. It seems, there is no contribution to the config management.
Honestly, from my point of view it looks like a copy and paste of the nomination of Michael and just replacing the name.
Please provide us the necessary track record by answering (to all) this mail.
Thank you so much!
Have a great X-Mas time, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Best,
Andy

Betreff: [automotive-pmc] Committer Election for Luiz Cordeiro on Eclipse Safe Open Vehicle Core has started
A Committer election for Luiz Cordeiro on project Eclipse Safe Open Vehicle Core (automotive.score) was started by Anton Krivoborodov with this criteria:
We hereby nominate Luiz Cordeiro for the Eclipse Committer Election.
Luiz is a senior software engineer at BMW with extensive expertise and experience.
He was one of the core developers and architects of the Config Management module, which was initially developed by BMW and has recently been contributed to the S-CORE project:
-

Currently, there is no one within the S-CORE project with the necessary expertise to review and merge pull requests for the Config Management module.
Therefore, we kindly request that Luiz be granted Committer rights. In the context of the S-CORE project, we treat initial module contributions similarly to the creation of a new Eclipse project.
Please note that merge rights for S-CORE modules are additionally regulated by the CODEOWNERS file, which enables the S-CORE project to assign Committers to the module repositories for which they are responsible. For more details, please refer to:
