Hello Score Community,

it was announced in the S-CORE project lead meeting already:

I will change my responsibility within BMW. I will relocate to China from 1.8.25 on and will be part of BMWs China development locally. Therefore, I will no longer be able to participate in the S-CORE project as a project lead and will step down as a project lead end of July.

Let me at this point express my thanks to all of you, who made this project what it is right now. We have a big chance here to push a real code based automotive full stack that will be of great value to the industry. I think we can be proud of the current state – but the majority of the way is still ahead of us. I see a vibrant and willing community that will certainly go down this route and provide a S-CORE 1.0 in good quality in an open collaboration model. Looking forward to seeing this happen.

We will in the next week also formally start a vote in the Eclipse Systems on replacing me in the S-CORE project lead organization. My successor within BMW is Martin Wagner and will take over my current responsibilities on BMW side. He is a very experienced Software lead, currently heading the development of our “heart of joy” ECU. Some of you already know him personally from online and personal meetings in the last weeks.
