Re: [science-iwg] SWG Charter tweak

Hi,

Under

Connections with other groups

only LocationTech and IoT are listed, and as a single project from another category (not "technology" or "runtime") PTP is listed.

It seems a bit unfair to ignore at least 2 projects that remained with Eclipse from "OHF" times, namely STEM and UOMo. I am not picky about wording, but unless there is a core committer to STEM subscribed here who wishes a certain phrase, could "OHF" and projects derived from it be mentioned, too? That would also include work done outside via OHT;-)

Thanks,

Werner

Hi Everyone,

There were no other comments during the review period so we're just
about ready to go to launch the Science group.

I have added the charter modification to include Committer
representation in the Steering Committee. If you would, please review
and speak up if you feel it needs any refinement. Thank you.

Added at the bottom of the charter:

"*Committer Members*

SWG projects are full fledged Eclipse Foundation projects, and
committers for SWG projects have all the rights and privileges that entails.

In addition, the SWG Steering Committee will have 1 committer
representative nominated and elected by their SWG committer peers. 1
additional elected committer representative will be added for every 3
Steering Committee members. SWG elections shall use single transferable
voting."

Hi,

I believe there is a formatting error in the charter, in the part: "The SWG will strive to become an essential forum for engagement with industry including adoption of SWG output and contribution to SWG initiatives. Scope". The word "Scope" should probably be a header. I have taken the liberty to correct that.

Best regards,
Torkild
