That seems a slightly strange position to me, as I see project goals and 
the 1.0 project release review (particularly) as very closely 
related...i.e. isn't a 1.0 review supposed to include some thinking 
about where the project is headed, how it fits in/will fit in with other 
EF projects, as well as how it meets/addresses community needs now and 
in future? 

Speaking of future :), the Rieners on this list might be interested in
