Re: [rdf4j-dev] Apache Rya using RDF4J

Hi Adina,

Thanks for getting in touch! I had heard of Apache Rya before but must admit I had never cottoned on that you use RDF4J (and indeed make your API available via RDF4J as well).

Collaboration-wise, we'd at the very least appreciate any feedback you have for us on RDF4J, including suggestions for future improvements. I will try and find the time to take Rya for a spin before commenting more in-depth. One thing I'm curious about though: do you have any back-of-the-envelope performance/scalability numbers? It would be interesting to see how Rya compares with our own out of the box stores or other RDF4J backend implementations.

Cheers,

Jeen

Hi,

My name is Adina Crainiceanu and I am the Chair of the Apache Rya project https://rya.apache.org/. I wanted to introduce myself and the project.  Apache Rya graduated as a top level project at the Apache Software Foundation in September 2019 https://blogs.apache.org/foundation/entry/the-apache-software-foundation-announces56. Rya is a cloud-based triple store that uses RDF4J and provides fast SPARQL queries over RDF data stored in Accumulo or MongoDB.

Since RDF4J is a key component in our system, we hope there might be opportunities to collaborate. If interested, please let us know. Our community can be reached at dev@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Best wishes,
Adina
