[platform-ui-dev] Removal of dead code and commends

Hi,

Looks like our effort to remove dead code and dead comments is actually visible.
Look at the nice stats of https://www.openhub.net/p/eclipse. Number of
code lines and comments go down, in our case this means dead code and
(Non-Javadoc) statements are removed.

Looks great to me.
