This plan item has been put on hold to allow us to focus on the committed
plan items.
We are unable to commit to a date for it at this time.
I suggest adding yourself to the cc list for the plan item, which also has
the latest status:

Hello everybody !
I am a french java developer and my current activity is the development
of an Object Modeling Plugin.
I have to implement a "model orientied" navigator. That's the reason why
I would like to know if the "General-Purpose navigator" will be released
in the new Eclipse version.
I have yet developed a simple navigator but I have to change my plans to
fit with this new navigator if it is the new philosophy.
It would be great if I can obtain some "general-puropse navigator" news.
