[platform-releng-dev] Eclipse and Equinox 4.36 (2025-06) RC1 Reminder

We are scheduled to promote and contribute 4.36 RC1 to SimRel on Friday, May 23^rd.

 

Here is the schedule:

May 21 Wed 18:00 ET API and feature freeze

May 21 Wed 18:00 ET Release Candidate 1 build

May 23 Fri Submit RC1 to release train

 

Please note the following excerpt from the freeze plan:

 

"All fixes submitted must have a project lead vote on the bug report, and the fix must be reviewed by an additional committer (any committer other than the one who made the fix). A positive review from a project lead means implicit approval and no vote is needed on the bug report. Ongoing changes to documentation, tests or examples do not require approval.”
