No, it's not a known problem.  Please file a Bugzilla report (with steps to reproduce) if this is a reproduceable problem.

It seems that the methods setDefaults() and initializeFrom() get invoked
with a different
instance of my CppLaunchConfigurationTab when clicking on the "New
configuration" shortcuts.
Everything works fine if clicking on "Edit Configurations".
Is this a known problem?  (I am working with M5).
