    Hi Hannes,
I don't think we've ever met, but I'm Scott Lewis, project lead
for ECF, which provides the 'filetransfer' component for use in p2
in Eclipse along with a full and compliant implementation of the
OSGi Remote Services and Remote Service Admin specifications.

Since ECF is one of the two or three projects that Eclipse
depends upon (EMF and one other?) I think ECF filetransfer
      qualifies as Eclipse core.
In any event, I thought you might want to discuss in this meeting
that ECF has been supported by me and others for about 20 years
now with minimal corp or other support...and that's soon coming to
an end one way or another.  See my posting on rt-pmc mailing list
      [1].
I would like to attend this meeting but I'm not sure if I'll be
able to.  Just thought you and the wider dev community would want
to know and this seemed like a good way to spread the word.
Thanks BTW for putting this together.
    Regards,

    Scott

        Dear fellow Eclipse developers,

all discussions about the development of Eclipse currently
happen in textual form, but some topics are discussed easier
and faster in person and personal connections can improve.
Therefore I want to invite you to an open Eclipse core
          developer video call starting at

        Thursday 13th of June, 14:00 UTC / 16:00 CEST / 10:00 EDT /
          19:30 IST

and to be repeated every two weeks (given there is constant
          interest).

Everyone that participates or is interested in
participating in the development of the Eclipse core itself is
invited to join, newcomers are explicitly encouraged to join
too. It is planned as an open meeting without a fixed agenda,
where everyone can suggest to discuss general or specific
topics, changes or issues or can ask questions.
This call is dedicated to the development of the core of
Eclipse itself, mainly the top-level projects Eclipse-Platform
[1], Equinox [2], Eclipse Java development tools (JDT) [3] and
Eclipse Plug-in Development Environment (PDE) [4]. It is not
intended to provide support for users or consumers of Eclipse,
          for that other channels exists.
If specific issues or changes are discussed, the exchanged
arguments should be summarized in the corresponding issues or
Pull-Requests and if decisions are made they should be
justified. Of course others not participating in the call
should still have the same chance to influence a decision.

I'm looking forward to see you.

          Best regards

          Hannes
