[paho-dev] subscription order of retained messages

Hi all,

when subscribing to a topic like "topics/#" and
"topic/1" + "topic/2" are containing retained messages.
In which order are they given to a client? (in my case the java one).
Is is ordered by creation date: oldest first? That's the impression I
have by now.
