Hi everyone,
TheiaCon 2026 is happening this week, on 28–29 October!
This free, virtual event brings together developers, tool builders, adopters, and open source contributors for two days of technical talks, demos, and real-world experiences around Eclipse Theia and modern development tools.
When: 28–29 October, 16:00–19:30 CET each day (11:00 ET / 8:00 PT).
A few highlights from this year's programme:
- Eclipse Theia Project Update 2026, opening Day 1 with the latest developments and what's ahead.
- Real-world adopter stories from STMicroelectronics (STM32CubeMX2), Samsung (Sokatoa), Ericsson (local AI coding assistants), and Deltopia (migrating a 20-year-old Eclipse RCP product to the browser).
- AI and agentic development, including agent-native engineering tools, Eclipse Enclave for safely running AI agents on developer machines, and the AI Registry for agent extensions.
- IDE architecture and innovation, with Thomas Mäder's IDE Architecture Then and Now, Hydranium, the Baukasten UI toolkit, and lessons from GSoC 2026 at Eclipse Theia.
And much more across both days!
