Dear Robert,
thank you so much for heavy investment, engagement and outstanding work in the openMobility Group!
You achieved a lot, e.g., the start of the creation of Interest Groups. I can easily remember when we discussed it.
Unfortunately, stopping a working group or an interest group is part of the community life cycle and sometimes necessary.
I know that from my own and it is not an easy step!!

Great, that you can do that hard step!

I am sure, we will meet at another working group! πŸ˜‰
Thanks for all and see you soon!

Best,
Andy

Hi Robert,

I think your mail perfectly summarizes the situation. I personally was
mostly a "simple attendee", meaning that I was not really making
contributions from my side mainly for the ever-shifting research topic
typical of academia. I was however always interested in what was going
on within the SUMO community, and I got to learn a lot from our meetings.

It is clearly a pity to have to shutdown such a community, but I
perfectly understand the motivations. This said, I personally want to
thank you Robert for organizing these meetings, the whole DLR team, and
all the participants. I guess there will be other opportunities to meet
and talk, like at the SUMO conference :)

Best!
Michele
