Dear openGENESIS Community;
The original goal of the openGENESIS Working Group was to collaboratively provide methods and tools for the assessment of artificial intelligence (AI) used for autonomous driving.
The openGENESIS Steering Committee recognized the working group was not very active in July 2020. Following much consideration and discussion, the Steering Committee agreed to try and restart the working group. Unfortunately, the effort was not successful.
It has always been the Eclipse Foundation’s expectation that some Working Groups will exist for a specific period of time to accomplish a specific set of objectives and at certain times will no longer be in a position to pursue the original goals as a working group, and is deemed inactive. As per the Eclipse Foundation Working Group Process [1], the Working Group is being formally terminated and any materials created will be archived by the EMO. Additionally, any Participation Agreements executed shall automatically terminate as a result.
