Hello ORC community,
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Brussels for Code & Compliance 2026. It was another great opportunity to connect with the community and have important discussions about the challenges and opportunities surrounding regulatory compliance. We'll share the presentations, recordings and photos later this week.
Looking ahead, there are several opportunities to connect, share your work and contribute to the conversation in 2027.
Code & Compliance | FOSDEM Edition 2027
28 January 2027 | Brussels, Belgium
Code & Compliance returns during FOSDEM week with a developer-focused program exploring how the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and AI Act affect open source projects and the products built with them.
The FOSDEM edition is our most popular event of the year and is expected to sell out, so we encourage you to register early to secure your spot. ORC members receive 50% off registration with the code ORCMEMBER50.

FOSSapalooza
29 January 2027 | Brussels, Belgium
Something new is coming to FOSDEM week! FOSSapalooza brings together open source organisations and communities for a new collaborative event focused on connecting people, sharing ideas and strengthening cooperation across the ecosystem.
ORC is excited to be part of this joint initiative with AboutCode, OWASP and OpenChain. ORC will be organising a dedicated track at FOSSapalooza, with topics complementing those covered at Code & Compliance. We're still defining the programs for both events, so we encourage you to submit your proposals to either opportunity. As the programs take shape, we may suggest moving some talks between events to ensure the best fit.
CFP deadline: 30 November 2026

Open Community Experience (OCX) 2027
13–15 April 2027 | Brussels, Belgium
We're encouraging the ORC community to contribute to two tracks:
Cybersecurity & regulatory compliance: Practical approaches to secure development, software supply chain security, vulnerability management, SBOMs and implementing the CRA and AI Act.
Digital autonomy & technological sovereignty: How open source, open standards and collaborative approaches can support digital autonomy, including the impact of emerging regulations on open technologies.
Whether you have a technical solution, a real-world case study or lessons learned to share, we'd love to see the ORC community represented.
Early submission deadline: 9 November 2026
Final CFP deadline: 6 December 2026
