Hi everyone,
We are excited to invite you to the upcoming edition of Code and Compliance, taking place on October 27th in Brussels!
What is this edition about?
This edition is heavily focused on bridging the gap with industry. We want to engage directly with the various sectors that are massive consumers of open source software, but haven't yet become active participants in open source communities. To achieve this, we are collaborating closely with several leading industrial associations who are helping us shape a program that directly addresses real-world industrial needs.
Throughout the event, the current and future activities of the Open Regulatory Compliance (ORC) community will serve as the common thread tying the entire program together, and CRA and the AI Act the two reference pieces of regulation the event will cover.
In the coming weeks, we will add more details to the program.
A Two-Part Community Strategy
We view this October event and our upcoming FOSDEM edition as complementary halves of the same mission:
October in Brussels: Validating and promoting the work of our community among industrial stakeholders and building long-term bridges.
FOSDEM Edition: Fully focused on the open source community itself, where we will dive deep into internal topics, developer workflows, and community-driven initiatives.
