Dear ORC Community,

The European Commission has launched the Strengthening Europe’s Tech Sovereignty Package, which you can access here: https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/library/communication-european-tech-sovereignty-accompanied-eu-open-source-strategy

This is an important piece of legislation that directly impacts our work. Please take some time to review it, as we can discuss it during the SIG call on the 22nd once everyone has had a chance to go through the details.

I have created a GitHub issue so everyone can place there ideas or thoughts when going through the package - THERE IS NO PUBLIC CONSULTATION - so don't propose modifications to the text, it is just an issue to identify areas of interest, to organise potential new activities in the future - https://github.com/orcwg/orcwg/issues/313
