From 21–23 April 2026, developers, maintainers, legal experts, and industry leaders will gather in Brussels for Open Community Experience (OCX).
As part of OCX, the Open Community for Compliance collocated event will focus on secure and compliant open source development in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. With frameworks like the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and increasing expectations around software supply chain transparency, compliance is no longer optional.
This track brings together technical and policy perspectives to explore scalable, community-driven approaches to regulatory alignment, security practices, and trust in open source ecosystems.
Featured sessions include:
Taming the SBOM chaos: A legal compass for the CRA and open source compliance by Hendrik Schöttle (Osborne Clarke)
Layered compliance: Using the Swiss cheese model to prevent catastrophic failure by Georg Link (Bitergia)
OCX places compliance in direct conversation with developers, automotive leaders, AI practitioners, researchers, and tooling experts. If you’re working on making compliance practical, automatable, and sustainable in open source environments, this event is for you.
